ELLEN DeGENERES AND TARGET DONATE TO WHITNEY ELEMENTARY IN LAS VEGAS - Broadway To Vegas column - September 18, 2011

Wouldn't it be less trouble for school principals if monetary donations of say over $100 or $500 to an individual school for homeless or underprivileged students went through a central donations center, either in each state, regionally, or even nationally? Principals would only have to apply to one distribution center, rather than spending so much time writing to individual television shows or companies? Companies could make an annual donation to the agency and let the agency distribute the money to needy schools. That way no
needy school or student would be left out.

Meantime, great that Ellen and Target have such big hearts.
