If CityCenter hotels and stores are so interested in foreign customers, they need to have sales people who know how to speak a variety of languages. Stop assuming that anybody who comes to Las Vegas speaks and understands English.

The Joyce show is a total juice job. She doesn't even do a good job reading a teleprompter. The Las Vegas Sun newspaper just laid off a lot of competent reporters. Sad, because it seems those who have juice positions never have to worry about not having a job.

AS THE WORLD TURNS - BRING BACK LARRY BRYGGMAN - Broadway To Vegas column of November 22, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/November22,2009.html

I'm a stay at home Mom with 3 kids. I like watching the soaps because I can look at families that have more problems than mine. I can't take the time to read a romance novel, but I can watch my soaps. A lot of the new faces are terrific, but the older ones need to be there more than they are. It's like the aunt or older sister or brother. They may not be there every single day, but you want them in your lives. Bring back Dr. John Dixon. They get good actors like Larry Bryggman and then they lose them because they don't want to pay what they are worth.

Probably.
People will believe anything if you put it on television. The ASPCA should jump on this.
Sure the girl didn't know anything about it, so she wasn't being used like the balloon boy. Maybe no money was spent because the firemen are volunteers but still .... this isn't right. Check it out. Somebody wanted their 15 minutes of fame and staged this. Or, the man should be fined for having an open abandoned well. Can't wait to hear what the mayor says about this.

LOS ANGELES RESIDENT OPPOSES TAXPAYERS STUCK WITH EXTRA EXPENSES FOR MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE - see Broadway To Vegas column of July 5, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/July5,2009.html

As a resident of Los Angeles who has recently been laid off, and whose husband has had his hours cut, I object to the taxpayers being stuck with extra expenses for the Michael Jackson tribute. Every news outlet, including Broadway To Vegas, has covered his death and tribute. Some outlets are more reasonable than others. If the major television networks think it is so important to their ratings that they gave as much coverage, if not more, to Michael Jackson than they would have to the death of a president, or Princess Diana, then let the major networks foot the bills, not the taxpayers of a state which has serious economic problems.

TONY AWARDS TRIBUTE TO STARS WHO PASSED AWAY WAS THE WORST - Broadway To Vegas column of June 7, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/June7,2009.html

The tribute to the people who passed away this past season was the worst. The show was so focused on the unknowns singing "What I Did For Love" that they ignored the artists who were being remembered. The pictures were at an angle and it was difficult to read the names underneath. Shame! Shame! Shame!

DRUG TOXICITY KILLS DANNY GANS - Broadway To Vegas column update June 7, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/June7,2009.html
It was a prescription drug that killed Danny. Why wasn't a doctor monitoring how much Danny took? He had to get the prescription refilled somewhere. Why didn't the professionals know his body was approaching the toxicity level?

TONY AWARDS - TELECAST SHUNS THE CREATIVE SIDE OF BROADWAY - Broadway To Vegas column June 7, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/June7,2009.html

Years ago the Tony Awards were telecast after the 11 PM news.
The Broadway community cried that they were as important as the Emmy and Oscar telecasts
and fought for the Antoinette Perry Awards be aired on network television at prime time.
Be careful what you wish for.

NEW FACES OF '52 CD - Broadway To Vegas column - May 3, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/May3,2009.html

I am delighted to have won this CD. It arrived in the mail yesterday, so I knew I won even before you printed it in your column. My parents were married in 1952 and my mother is still alive. I am going to give this to her on what would have been her wedding anniversary. I know listening to this will help her remember a lot of happy memories. That's why I wanted the CD in the first place. After listening to it, I'm glad I have the opportunity to listen to it, because it is delightful.

MAGGIE SMITH IN NEW FACES OF 1956 - Broadway To Vegas column - May 3, 2009

Why doesn't the Maggie Smith website list her as being in this revue and doesn't name this CD? They should. Other websites and data bases list her as being in this revue, but the website that is suppose to be all about her doesn't say one word.

I was named after her and I follow everything she does.

WAS DANNY GANS MURDERED? - Broadway To Vegas column May 3, 2009

Hey, do you know if Danny Gans was murdered, or what?

For a few hours Wikipedia said that the FBI was investigating the cause of his death. I saw it and so did my friends because we were looking at everything that was being written about his death. I think they said Gans' manager told them that. Then they (Wikipedia) took down that part. Are the police investigating his death? Why would anyone want to kill the best performer in the whole wide world? He was my favorite. What happened anyway?

And what an interesting/sad story about Natasha Richardson. It's funny that no one has yet mentioned that Vanessa just finished playing the Joan Didion part in her autobiographical play "The Year of Magical Thinking" about her dealing with the deaths of both her husband and daughter.
