The sculpture done by the young offender of a man straddling the broken base of life should speak to everyone.

NORBERT LEO BUTZ'S SISTER MURDERED - MAN WAS OUT ON BAIL WHEN CRIME WAS COMMITTED - Broadway To Vegas column July 26, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/July26,2009.html

I cried when I read that the man who police say killed Teresa Butz was out on bail on a charge of threatening to kill his own mother. Had the judge denied bail, Teresa Butz would still be alive. The person who posted the bail for that man should also have to face some responsibility in this senseless murder.
Norbert Leo Butz is one of my favorite actors. He stole the show in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and I can't wait for this new show to reach Broadway.
My prayers go out to the entire Butz family.

IMPERSONATING MICHAEL JACKSON - Broadway To Vegas column of July 12, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/July12,2009.html

I have a friend who is a celebrity impersonator. Thanks for the article. Bravo to Linda Collins for standing up for her acts. They work hard and are entitled to earn a living. Kudos to Richard Skipper for explaining, in a way people can understand, how pressures are different for performers. May the celebrities who are deceased Rest In Peace. But, let's treat the impersonators who are honoring them through performances as
professional, hard working artists.

ACTORS' EQUITY/BROADWAY CARES SHOULD FORM DRUG COMMITTEE - Broadway To Vegas column of July 12, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/July12,2009.html

My sister works in a medical office and sees prescription drug abuse all the time. Richard Skipper did a beautiful job of explaining how performers can get hooked on drugs. Actors' Equity and Broadway Cares should form a committee on drug abuse, with people like Richard Skipper and those in the industry, plus doctors and medical people, to help educate performers on how to handle stress without resorting to a pill bottle or a needle.

LOS ANGELES RESIDENT OPPOSES TAXPAYERS STUCK WITH EXTRA EXPENSES FOR MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE - see Broadway To Vegas column of July 5, 2009

http://www.broadwaytovegas.com/July5,2009.html

As a resident of Los Angeles who has recently been laid off, and whose husband has had his hours cut, I object to the taxpayers being stuck with extra expenses for the Michael Jackson tribute. Every news outlet, including Broadway To Vegas, has covered his death and tribute. Some outlets are more reasonable than others. If the major television networks think it is so important to their ratings that they gave as much coverage, if not more, to Michael Jackson than they would have to the death of a president, or Princess Diana, then let the major networks foot the bills, not the taxpayers of a state which has serious economic problems.

JOHN ASTIN AGREES WITH PATTI LuPONE WHO STOPS SHOW WHEN AUDIENCES ANNOY - Broadway To Vegas column of June 28, 2009

Bravo Patti LuPone!
When I pay my hard earned money to go to a show,
I want to hear the performer, not some idiot in the audience talking, texting or trying to sneak
taking a picture.

I love Michael Jackson. He was my hero.
Why don't the Las Vegas Michael impersonators
get together and do a benefit in Michael's name for one of his
favorite charities?
